Latina Ambassador Hits Tinseltown

Toronto, Ontario (May 8th, 2007): Lights! Camera! Action! Mariana Valente, this year's stunning Miss Latina Canada® finally makes her debut in Hollywood, California! Awarded a scholarship from the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios, Mariana will be put through an intense week long program studying "Acting for Film". Her days will consist of 8 hours of classroom time, which will include actual filming on the Universal Studio's lot where some of the most famous Movies in the world have been filmed! The Latin-Canadian good-will ambassador departs from Toronto this Saturday night and will be returning to Canada on May 20th.

Universal Studios (the largest major motion film studio in the world located in Universal City, Hollywood California recognized as the entertainment capital of the world), is home to the only Film & Talent School located on a major motion film studio lot - the New York Film Academy (they also have a location at MGM Studios). The Film Academy is honoured to be the Film School of choice of many Hollywood filmmakers and their families including the son of Steven Spielberg; the son of the former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan; & the daughter of fashion designer Donatella Versace just to name a few of their long list of celebrity attendees.
