ES Team™ Productions along with this year's Miss Latina Canada®: Mariana Valente found it very hard to leave beautiful Hollywood, California. As a reuslt of winning the scholarship to the New York Film Academy at Unviersal Studios, Mariana spent an intense week participating in the Acting for Film program.  Staff and studenst were thrilled to have Mariana there, constantly stopping her to take photos and get autographs.  Aside from her 8 hour classroom days, Mariana also had the chance to visit many Hollywood star homes such as Madonna, Roseann Bar, and Barbara Streisand. She spent the day at famous Venice Beach, and even got the opportunity to spend time with legendary rock star Steven Tyler - lead of the rock band Aerosmith famous for number one hits such as "Dude looks like a lady", "Walk this Way" "Jamies got a Gun", and most recently from the #1 movie Armageddon, " I Don't want to Miss a Thing."

Staff at the New York Film Academy gave Mariana A-list treatment, taking her on private tours of Universal City, arranging special times for her to be on Hollywood sets, and even taking her out for lunch!  Mariana was swarmed at "The Grove" shopping mall, where many US Latino's recognized her from the Canadian Miss Latina Canada® website, wanting her to take photos with them.  Mariana's humbleness, won over the hearts of many of the people that came into contact with her.

The New York Film Academy was sad to see Mariana go, but strongly believe that she has the personality, commitment, and professionalism to succeed in the entertainment industry should she choose to pursue it.
